Yeah I'm jumping the bandwagon and making my very own "About Me" page.
Where to start...ahh yes. My name online is Oblivion_Awaits, Oblivion and RickOblivion in a couple of other sites. My real name is Rick if you haven't already found that out.
I've always read the popular webcomics like Penny Arcade, Ctrl+Alt+Del, Bob and George and 8 Bit Theatre among others. However once I saw an advertisement on Bob and George which led me to an extremely funny webcomic named Ansem Retort. I laughed a lot when I read that comic, the guy really does know how to make good jokes. The main page of Analog Paladins had a couple of other links. Through it I discovered Heroes Inc., Spritescape Fantasy and Donut Pie.net. However a comic that really piqued my interest was another funny and well done comic named Revenge of the Sprite Comics. After that I made this comic series, which originally intended to be humorous. After I realized my jokes sucked I made it into the serious sprite comic with comic relief you're reading today. I'm quite proud of this comic, though I still have a long way to go.
Do I want to make a living out of this? Not really to be frank. I do this comic as a hobby. And I also wish to tell a story to you guys, if it takes me months or even YEARS, I wanna see this comic through to the end.
I like giving advice to people. Though I usually don't hold back when critiquing another comic. It's better to tell people what they're doing wrong early on so they can fix it. If people can't tolerate constructive criticism, then why the hell are they posting their comics here? If you're willing to improve and accept that something's wrong with your comic then you and I will get along fine. You can also critique my comic if you want, constructive criticism is always appreciated.
I enjoy spriting, it's another one of my hobbies. I can't say I'm the best at it, cause I'm not, though I consider myself a decent spriter. Lately however I've been more interested in drawing my own characters. I love spriting and all but making original characters out of sprites isn't at all easy. It IS possible but it takes a great amount of time and effort. Once I finish this comic I hope to do a drawn one in order to improve my skills. So I guess you'll see more from me after this comic ends.
